Shakyamuni Buddha, born Siddhartha Gautama, was the founder of the Buddhist tradition. At the age of 29, Siddhartha renounced the luxury of his royal heritage to take up life of a religious wanderer. After gaining profound insight into the true nature of reality, he attained complete enlightenment at the age of 35. From that time onward, he was referred to as the 'Buddha' the 'Awakened One'.
This Buddha Thangka painting is completed by a Tibetan Thangka Master. The final Thangka is framed with the most exquisite silk brocade border.
